Nice papers, actually the Bio-inspired computing is the paper I read on the flight haha, this is a great paper, it demonstrated that if you set some spacial constrains to the RNN and the structure of RNN will evolve to be like the human brain. So to some extend, it tells us the constrains in 3D space is what makes the brain the brain. I can't help thinking, if there is some creature in 4D space, the constrain maybe relaxed, so they will be more smarter than a human? Even think further, in Artificial Neural Network, there is no concept of 'N-dimentional space', any neurons can connect to any neurons without any spacial cost, so this is a huge advantage for a ANN to become smarter?
